Our Professional Development training programmes are aimed at those who are looking to improve and enhance their skills to better meet the needs of their organisation. An Introduction to Insights Discovery
1 Day Workshop

Our 1-Day Foundation Workshop introduces you to the internationally recognised psychometric assessment tool, Insights Discovery. The Foundation Workshop is designed to give you practical, actionable ways to adapt your communication. You will come away from the workshop with new tools to help you eliminate common communication issues that individuals and teams often struggle with. If you are new to ‘colour psychometrics’ or ‘colour energies’, this workshop is an ideal introduction. You will explore your own personal style and how you can adapt to get the best out of all your communications with others whilst investigating your strengths, areas for development and potential blind spots. We also take time to look at developing skills around influencing and motivation.

  • Understand yourself and gain perspective of others using the Insights Discovery character model.
  • Understand the Insights Discovery Four Colour System.
  • Be able to adapt your style to get the best out of a situation by understanding personal preferences.
  • Create a character map of the people around them across the business.
  • Develop ideas on protecting the well-being of yourself and others.
  • Write an action plan that you can learn from and implement from the moment you leave the workshop.

The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm, with breaks and lunch. 

  • We get started by welcoming you to the workshop and introducing you to everyone else, and gain an understanding of what your personal objectives are for the day. 
  • We start to look at Perception and how you perceive the world around you. 
  • We move into some interactive exercises to look at your perception, i.e. a self perception exercise and a group perception exercise.
  • We introduce the Insights Discovery Four Colour Model and start to define their meanings.
  • During the day we take a look at Jungian psychology and how this underpins the four colour model.
  • Once we have this understanding you will then receive your 32 page Insights Discovery Personal Profile.
  • After you have had time to read your profile we do some work using this information whilst looking at communication across the four colour types and how it relates to you.
  • We look at the Do’s and the Don'ts when adapting your style to the people around you.
  • We also take some time to assess a few celebrities and see where they sit on the wheel.
  • We draw the day to a close by looking at a personal action plan for you moving forward.

Insights Discovery promotes effective relationships by introducing a common language that improves communication, reducing or eliminating conflict; leaving you to focus on the task ahead and get the job done. Foundation Chapter

This chapter introduces you to your personal style and approach. It focuses on key strengths/weaknesses, value to the team, preferred communication style, possible blind spots, opposite types and suggestions for your development.

*Management Chapter

This chapter is a valuable inclusion within a leadership team or management development programme. It enables managers to consider their own management style as well as the needs of those they manage. you will gain insights into your motivation, preferred working environment and leadership style.

*Personal Achievement Chapter

This chapter explores how you can grow and improve in areas such as time management, creativity and goal setting. This information can form an integral part of a personal effectiveness or coaching programme.

*Effective Selling Chapter

This chapter explores individual approaches towards selling and influencing at each stage of the sale from preparation to follow-through. It can be customised or linked to your in-house sales model or process.

*Interview Chapter

This chapter is a one-page supplement providing pertinent questions to assist in the selection process. The questions probe and stretch the candidate, raising levels of self awareness and identifying areas of strength and areas for development.

*The report you receive will consist of the Foundation Chapter only. You may purchase further chapters. Please contact LearningCog for pricing.

Prior to the workshop you will be required to complete an online assessment which takes approximately 20 mins to complete. The results of your assessment form the basis of your Insights Discovery Personal Profile. You will receive a hard copy of your report (valued at £94) during the workshop.

Insights Discovery Floor Mat

In order to break down the barriers built up within traditional methods, our Team Development Training Course is based around the Insights Discovery floor mat. This changes the perspective of each delegate so that they are not just attending another presentation, but instead becoming part of the Insights Discovery System from the moment they start to take part in the workshop. The mat encourages interacting with one another on a new level whilst learning the strengths and weaknesses of each personality type from the moment the team day starts. The team works outside of their comfort zone, trying new things and inspiring creativity for the rest of the workshop.
