Everyone learns in a different way and everyone has a preferred learning style in which they learn best.
There are many styles and models one of the most common is the Neil Fleming’s VAK model.
Visual Learners
Auditory Learners
Kinesthetic Learners
Fleming believed that everyone learns best in one of these three ways.
Visual is a learning style in which concepts, ideas, data and information are all associated with images and techniques. Meaning a visual learner will learn best by looking at pictures or visual diagrams.
Auditory is a learning style where a person learns best through listening. They depend on hearing and speaking as a main way of learning. They must be able to hear what is being said to be able to understand and they may struggle with tasks or instructions that are laid out in a written style.
Kinesthetic learning style is when a student learns best by carrying out physical activity rather than watching a presentation, reading a book or listening to a lecture. They would prefer to carry out a physical task they are also known as ‘do-ers’
