What is your role within Learning Cog?

“I’m a communication and leadership coach with a background in acting, psychology, and experiential learning. After spending ten years as an actor, including with the Royal Shakespeare Company, I transitioned into coaching and training, working with leaders across industries. With training in Gestalt therapy and as an NLP Master Practitioner, I combine my performance skills with psychological insight to help people communicate more effectively. I’m passionate about hands-on, interactive learning and creating engaging experiences that empower individuals and teams to perform and connect with confidence—whether in person or in hybrid settings.”

Describe your training style

“It’s important to me that everyone enjoys themselves. I believe people learn best when they’re having fun, so I keep things interactive with lots of variety and hands-on exercises. I try to find that sweet spot where people are willing to step out of their comfort zone without feeling overwhelmed. Once rapport is built, people love to play with purpose, whether it’s exploring new ideas or improving skills. I am also quite nerdy about brain science, especially how it connects to things like leadership and influencing others. I mix fun exercises with a bit of science, keeping it balanced so the training is both engaging and effective.”

Who inspires you

“We have twin girls at 10 years old, and, largely thanks to their mum being amazing. They are turning into such lovely young women. They’re so curious, open minded, kind and empathic. It gives me a lot of hope”
