What is your role within Learning Cog?

“About 13 years ago, I took the leap out of the corporate world and set up my own business. Along the way, I met Ric— it feels like a lifetime ago now! We first crossed paths on a project for another company, and later reconnected through Insights. Since then, I’ve been doing quite a bit of work with Ric, mainly around Insights, but I’ve also had the opportunity to collaborate on various other projects, including some with United Response. It’s been a great mix of experiences, and I’ve truly enjoyed the variety of work and the chance to work alongside some amazing people. I specialise in individual and team leadership development. I’m all about making a tangible difference and helping individuals and teams unlock their full potential.”

Describe your training style

“I’m relaxed with my learning style, and I don’t mind going off piste a little bit. I really enjoy the behavioural side of things, so making people stop and think slightly differently, focusing on what makes them tick and how the brain works. I also like people to learn by having fun – because if you don’t, if you’re stressed out, you’re not going to learn anyway.”

Who inspires you?

“My cousin called Lucy, who was diagnosed with a brain tumour at six months old. She’s now 14 years old and is amazing. Her resilience is also amazing, I think there’s a lesson to be learned there as adults.”
